Meet the CamGrip! If necessity is the Mother of Invention then the CamGrip, an inexpensive grip for point-and-shoot digital cameras as well as small video cameras, fit the bill. We first saw this product at CES 2008 and even stopped to take a look at the product.

The CamGrip is a 3.5” rubberized grip that provides an easy way to add additional stability and control when handholding your camera. With the size and shape of some of the latest devices anything that keeps them from slipping out of our hands is welcome.

It attaches via the tripod socket commonly found on the bottom of cameras. It is so lightweight that it adds almost nothing to the weight of the camera itself.

We thought it might take a little bit of time in order to get used to the CamGrip. But, we stand corrected. It turned out a joy to use. We still used the camera strap for additional safety without any problems.

If you have a shoulder bag you probably won’t even have to ever remove it. We liked having it attached all the time. Should you need to take it off it can be quickly removed and stored until needed.

The CamGrip is available in 9 different colors. You can choose a color to match your equipment or merely get something to reflect your personality. Either way we really liked CamGrip.
